There’s a new Wedding Awards in town!
There have been a number of very different and popular wedding awards across the North West over the last few years, but now there’s a new completely independent set of awards on the horizon.
The finest collection of wedding professionals from across the Cheshire, Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside areas have been nominated in these prestigious awards.
We are told each nominated supplier or service is independently evaluated by the combination of a judging panel, who will look into every aspect of each business. This includes marketing, website feedback, social media, and business profile. Also, online votes from past clients and also by votes from other wedding suppliers will make a huge difference. Generating a full across the board spectrum of feedback, that will be evaluated and collated to give overall winners in each of the specific categories.
If you are a past bride, groom or even guest at a wedding over the last few years and you found that there was one particular supplier that went out of their way to make everything perfect, or simply did a great job and would like to nominate them on The Wedding Awards – CLICK HERE

The Wedding Awards are on their way
OK, but who are “The Wedding Awards” and why are they so different to all the other awards events across the sector? These new “independent” awards and the organisational team behind them, don’t own any third party publications. They don’t have any other wedding related business interests and therefore we can assume that they are free from any conflicts of interest. Conflicts that sometimes tarnish most other awards.
The nominees in The Wedding Awards are made up of wedding professionals from right across the Cheshire, Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside areas. They are all nominated by either themselves, initially or other wedding business service personnel or the clients that they have serviced in the course of their work.
The Wedding Awards judges are made up of recognised and respected professionals from the key busiuness services within the wedding sector.
The obvious absence of any branding in the name of “The Wedding Awards” suggests, they are not tied into any other organisation, events company or publication. This said, the awards which will be supporting the registered charity Springfield Mind, is itself sponsored by County Wedding Magazine. The awards themselves came about out of necessity and were created by former wedding industry publishing magnet Kevin Quartermain. Kevin’s CV reads like a who’s who in the wedding industry. The awards themselves came about out of necessity, a need for a truly independent organisation, where everyone that is nominated and wins is on merit and through an open judging process.
Who is behind The Wedding Awards
The Wedding Awards as an organisation, were created by former wedding publishing and event magnet Kevin Quartermaine. Kevin’s CV reads like a who’s who in wedding. Having single-handedly created and ran for many years the most successful, regional bridal magazines in the North West. On top of all this, he has also organised some of the biggest and most prestigious bridal shows across the region.
Kevin stepped aside from running his own weddings business about nine years ago after it was acquired by Archant Life, but he had made so many friends over the years working and mixing with the best of the best, that he never really kept his eye off the ball and stayed involved over the years through other wedding businesses. When you have been immersed in the wedding sector for so long, it never leaves you. It’s in your blood as they say.
So with his ever keen interest, Kevin has been watching from the sidelines at the changes, the trends and the patterns of the way businesses sell their wedding services and products., He decided that there was a need for an awards that wasn’t tied to any obligations, restrictions or influences from any external sources, so ‘The Wedding Awards’ were born!
